Unexpected Beauty (Work in Progress...)

So by now, I'm sure most of you have heard about our train adventure. However, for those of you who haven't... it was awful. AWFUL! 33 hours, no AC, in a bunk that was above the windows and the fans (only two of which worked) = Rachel really sick! But it was so worth it! Jaipur but breathtaking and the Taj Mahal was, of course, stunning!

Sealdah train station. We were so far down the
platform that we could hardly see the train station!

They were just SO excited...

One of the many vendors who walked through the train selling their various goods.

View from my top bunk.
(They will probably hate me for posting this, sorry girls!)

Down the aisle.

Yes, this door stayed open and the guy in the black stayed posted up next to it. We think it was mainly to stare at us because he did, the entire trip. Most of the guys sitting around us stared at us for the entire trip... just an added bonus to an already fun train ride.

Once again, trapped like a duck in pen.

These pictures are a little out of order, I apologize but it's not worth it to me to suffer through fixing it.

This is how crowed the public transportation gets.

Ally being super excited about the elephants.

Katie saw these cows in the middle of the road and so, naturally darted through traffic and yelled back to me, "Take my picture!"

The rooftop eating area at our hotel. It was nice and relaxing.
